Volunteer Opportunities
Mountain Home Montana is always looking for dedicated volunteers who care about our mission and the work we do. Volunteer opportunities include:
Childcare: We are always looking for caring individuals to come play with our little ones while their mothers attend Parenting and Life Skills classes and during appointment times.
Special Projects: Occasionally we will hold volunteer days when we need a helping hand for various tasks and projects around the house. Past special projects have included painting, building, moving, planting, weeding etc.
Events: We would love to have you join our special event volunteer team. Mountain Home Montana hosts various events throughout the year, such as Clothing for a Cause and our Annual Yard Sale, and we always need willing individuals to share their talent!
Board of Directors: We begin looking for Board members in the fall of each year. Board members are expected to commit to a 3 year term.
Board Committees: Individuals can also choose to serve on one of our Board committees. Participation in a Board Committee allows individuals to assist with area needs of the organization without term commitments.
In-Kind Services: We are interested in inviting individuals who can provide in-kind services, such as IT/Computer assistance or marketing assistance to join our volunteer team.
Practicum Placements and Internships: Mountain Home Montana places students looking to complete practicum hours and internships in social work, nonprofit administration and related fields.
Holiday Helpers: We always need help with birthday cards, gift cards, and goody baskets to help our young mothers and children feel cared for on holidays. Volunteers could prepare a holiday brunch, collect items for goody baskets or gifts, or make cards for our mothers and children.
All of our Volunteers are an important part of Mountain Home Montana and we appreciate the time and talent they dedicate to our organization. Thank you Volunteers!
