The Mothers & Children
“My daughter and I have lived in shelters, on couches, and in warehouses. We have lived in places that had no toilet or shower for us to take care of ourselves. There have been times when there wasn’t enough food for both of us to eat, so I would give it all to my daughter and I would go hungry. I decided I needed to make a better life for my daughter, so I came to Mountain Home Montana. ”
Young mothers and children are part of the fastest growing homeless
population in the country and the environments and relationships these
young families experience significantly impact their future. The young mothers and children who come to Mountain Home Montana are often homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, while others are escaping domestic violence, living in unsuitable or unsafe environments, or simply need help learning how to parent and live on their own.
Since opening, we have helped over 500 young mothers and children find a safe, loving home where they can learn and grow. We are committed to providing our young mothers and children with safety, nurturing, and guidance so they have the best chance for a better life.
