To live at Mountain Home Montana, young mothers must be:​

  • Age 16-24
  • Pregnant with or parenting a child
  • Display the need for supportive housing
  • Capable of adjusting to a group living situation
  • Positive about participation in classes and house activities
  • Willing to attend education and/or employment training with the goal of achieving economic independence

Young mothers begin our program in our 6 bedroom home. Here, they are welcomed by our staff and provided with basic needs of food, shelter, safety and access to medical care. Each young mother develops a goal plan and works with staff to achieve their goals while having access to the following services:​

  • Transportation Assistance

Once young mothers demonstrate stability and have met the requirements, they can apply to live in one of our five independent living apartments.​ These apartments are designed to allow young mothers to practice their independent living skills in a supportive environment. Young mothers live on their own and care for their own apartment with continued access to our services.
