Living Here
“The rules and structure were hard at first, but in the end I made family and friends and learned so much. It changed my life.”
To live at Mountain Home Montana, young mothers must be:

- Display the need for supportive housing
- Capable of adjusting to a group living situation
- Positive about participation in classes and house activities
- Willing to attend education and/or employment training with the goal of achieving economic independence
Young mothers begin our program in our 6 bedroom home. Here, they are welcomed by our staff and provided with basic needs of food, shelter, safety and access to medical care. Each young mother develops a goal plan and works with staff to achieve their goals while having access to the following services:
- 24-hour Staff Support
- Access to Social Services
- GED Preparation
- Life Skills Classes
- Case Management
- Access to Health Care
- High School Enrollment
- Parenting Classes
- Job Training
- Transportation Assistance
- College Enrollment
- Recreational Activities
Once young mothers demonstrate stability and have met the requirements, they can apply to live in one of our five independent living apartments. These apartments are designed to allow young mothers to practice their independent living skills in a supportive environment. Young mothers live on their own and care for their own apartment with continued access to our services.
