Meet Jordyn*
I had just moved into an apartment with my boyfriend when one night he got drunk and tore our house apart and assaulted me. He beat me so badly I needed staples in my head and suffered from memory loss. Even though I was a victim of domestic violence, we were both put in jail. I lost my apartment and my son was placed with his grandparents.
I was reunited with my son because I was able to move into Mountain Home Montana. Now, we are safe and together. We are both in counseling to help us deal with the trauma we have experienced. I am working on my GED and I have a part-time job. I also just moved into one of the Independent Living Apartments here and I am doing pretty well on my own. Without Mountain Home Montana, we would not be able to live as a family again.
